Why not just save at home?
Saving at home is good, but money at home gets spent. With Zaala, every shilling is already at your clinic, at a price that won't go up. We remind you each week, and when your baby comes, you just show your card.
What Zaala gives you
Your money can't be spent on something else
Money at home or on your phone gets used for school fees, rent, a sick relative or a request from family. Once it's paid to your clinic, it's kept for your delivery.
Your price is locked in
You pay the package price on the day you join, even if the clinic raises its prices before your baby comes.
A clear plan, every week
Zaala works out exactly how much to pay each week and reminds you by SMS. You always know how far you are, for example 9 of 13 weeks done.
Your clinic is booked early
You choose your clinic and package months before your due date, so you know where you're going and you're ready for your antenatal visits.
No scramble when labour starts
Show your clinic card when you arrive. Your care is already paid for: no last-minute borrowing and no arguing over the bill.
A record of every shilling
Every payment is confirmed by the clinic and you get an SMS receipt, so there's never a "but I gave you the money" dispute.
Safer than cash at home
Cash at home can be lost or stolen. Your payments sit with your clinic.
Free, and not a loan
Zaala costs mothers nothing. There's no interest and no debt, because you're paying for your care in advance.
Good to know before you start
We want you to choose Zaala with your eyes open. Here's how we handle the questions mothers ask most.
If you need to change clinic or stop your plan
Contact your clinic and Zaala. Refunds and transfers follow the agreement with your clinic.
If your clinic leaves Zaala or closes
We check every clinic's licence and pay code before it goes live. If a clinic leaves, plans already started are honoured under the clinic's agreement with Zaala. Contact us and we'll help you.
If you need more care than your package
Sometimes a delivery needs extra care, like a Caesarean section. Everything you've paid still counts toward your bill. Ask your clinic for the price of other packages when you join.
If you can't pay one week
That's okay. Pay more the following week, or whatever you can. There are no penalties. If you haven't paid everything by your due date, your clinic can see what you've paid, and you agree the balance with them.
Save for your delivery, mpola mpola.
It takes about 3 minutes to start, and it's free.
